Frances Faye Lankford

Frances Faye Dester Lankford September 25, 1937 – March 5, 2016 Frances Faye Dester Lankford of Wagarville, Alabama, departed this life on March 5, 2016. She was born in Newton, Kansas to the late Milford Alford Dester and Marie Martha Stuckey Dester. She married William Keith Lankford who preceded her in death. Frances moved to Wagarville in 1978 and joined the Wagarville Baptist Church where she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior; she attended services regularly and was the Church Secretary. She worked as the Manager for the Wagarville Nutrition & Community Center for 25 years. She devoted her love and her life to the program and the seniors that attended there until she departed. Frances was the oldest of four siblings. She was preceded in death by her sister Deanna Dester Satterthwait. She leaves to mourn her passing two brothers: Larry Dester and Dennis Dester. She leaves 5 children to cherish her memory: Cindy Lynn Lankford Murphy, Kim Marie Hayes Lankford, Robert (Fritz) Donald Lankford, James Michael Lankford, and Michaela Elizabeth Lankford Attanasio. She also leaves 5 Grandchildren; Karen Lankford Bonefont, Bobby Lankford, Makayla Wimbley, Robert Lankford, Jonathan Lankford & 3 Great-grandchildren; Brandon Moorer, Olivia Wilkins and Sabrina Bonefont who all held a special love and place in her heart. The funeral will be held at Wagarville Baptist Church on Saturday March 12th, 2016. Family Visitation will be at 9:30 and Friends are welcome from 10 -11:00 at which time services will begin, provided by Pastor Joshua Purvis and Pastor Jim Blair. Pallbearers are Loving family members; Robert Lankford, Jonathan Lankford, Bobby Lankford, Brandon Moorer, Mike Kelliher, Dink Lankford. Honorary Pallbearers are: Mike Mansley and Scottie Slate.
