
Judith Clarice Cabaniss, 71, of Jackson, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center with her husband and children by her side. She was born in Jackson, AL May 3, 1944 where she was a graduate of Jackson High School. She received her degree in nursing from Mobile Infirmary School of Nursing and most recently had worked as a registered nurse at Thomasville Health Care and Rehab Center from 2005 to 2015. She had just received a 50 years of nursing licensure certificate from the Alabama Board of Nursing in recognition of her dedication to the nursing profession. She loved her profession, dogs, and all of her grandchildren to whom she was lovingly known as Ga Ga. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sydney Robinson and Clarice Jones Robinson. She is survived by her husband, Charles M. Cabaniss; three children, Darryl (Sylvia Mooney), Lance (Jill) Cabiniss, Candyce (Larry) Morgese; brother, Robin Earl McCorquodale; grandchildren, Storm Cabaniss, Cody Cabaniss, Chase Morgese, Sydney Cabaniss, Sophie Cabaniss; nieces and nephews, Shannon Odom, Marty Cranford, Mark Morgan, Scott Morgan, Bart McCorquodale and Beth McCorquodale. Graveside services were conducted August 3, 2015 at Trinity Memorial Garden with the Rev. Sonny Hoven officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing.
