Mr. Melvin Stanley

Melvin Stanley, age 78, born April 26, 1936, died January 15, 2015. Mr. Stanley was a lifelong resident of Jackson, AL where he was a member of Stave Creek Baptist Church as well as Kingdom Builders. He had worked as Superintendent over Civil and Structural Crafts at Brown and Root Construction. Mr. Stanley will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Survived by: Daughter- Joy (Paul) Thomas of Jackson, AL Sisters- Maxine Williams of Salitpa, AL Doris Mackey of Wharton, TX Sophie McMullen of Jackson, AL Grandchildren- J. D. Thomas and Mary Thomas Preceded in death by: Wife-Sarah Hoven Stanley Visitaiton will be Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Stave Creek Baptist Church, Jackson, AL. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Huey Denton and Bro. Bill Ellis officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens.
