Nial Bogie David Bowerman

Nial D. “Bogie” Bowerman, 90, of Jackson, passed away June 21, 2016 at William F. Green Veterans Home in Bay Minette. He was born December 29, 1925 to Myron Nial Bowerman and Truman Jones Bowerman. A WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy, he had been employed as a heavy equipment operator with Lone Star Cement Co. He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Salli Farish; two brothers and six sisters. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Chastain Bowerman; children, Vicki (Bobby) Farish, Indyia (Hank) Newburn, Chess (Cheryl) Bowerman; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and special caregiver, Wilda Gilchrist. A graveside service will be conducted Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Jackson with the Rev. Jennifer Gregory officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing. Active pallbearers will be Shawn Harrison, Scotty Chastain, Ronnie Gardner, Cliff McClinton, Gene Reynolds and Clint O’Guynn, Honorary pallbearers will be Aaron Clanton, Colby Mixon, Russell Keith, Chip Drinkard, Harold Agee, Larry Agee and James Gilchrist.
