

Robert Lance Criswell, 32, of Spanish Fort, passed away June 18, 2016. He was born January 4, 1984. A graduate of Jackson Academy, he was employed with Frank’s Body Shop. He especially enjoyed spending time boating, deep sea fishing and grilling with family and friends, but his favorite times were those he spent with his son, Max and his wife, Katie. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Frank Criswell. He is survived by his wife, Catherine Hawk Criswell; son, Maddox James “Max” Criswell; mother, Laurie (Kenny) Pritchett; father, Robert (Sherry) Criswell; brothers, Chase Sterlin (Jenny) Criswell, Michael Bates; step-brother, Justin Goldman; grandparents, Donnie (Linda) Deas, Judy Deas and Janelle Criswell. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on June 23, 2016 at Leroy Baptist Church with the Rev. James Watkins officiating. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing. Active pallbearers will be Brandon “Bud” Garrick, Nick Waddill, Brad Chancey, Will Edge, Trey Deas, Caleb Alday, Shaw White and Brandon Dunagan. Honorary pallbearers will be Harvey Martin, Ryan Smith, Jerome Jones, Brad Weaver, Willie Williams, Steven Criswell, Blake Dunagan, Tyler Loper, Scott Batley, Jonathon Taylor and Paul Criswell.
