It has been my pleasure to know Tom since 2006 when he came onto our Board of Directors at the Queens County Neuropsychiatric Institute and then became its President as of 10/7/11 until his resignation on May 11, 2019 due to ill health.

Tom played a major role in the running of our agency, always
supportive, always speaking up until he could no longer do so.

On a personal level, at lunch with myself and other Bd members
four times a year, enabled us to share many stories. Tom had an
interesting life, often traveling in dealing with his endless efforts
to create a Jackson Hts forum on the internet.

He will be missed both as a Bd President and as a friend.

Tom was a great neighbor, a terrific booster and asset to Jackson Heights and a generous activist. I recall he and Pat coming to see something I made, I was very touched. I also recall running into them at planning meetings in JH and at my Kayak club in Greenpoint. I wish I had known him better, but the lasting impression he made in our brief, fleeting encounters says much about his impact where he lived. He was an obvious mensch! Seth Fein

I was saddened to hear this. I interacted with Tom as a journalist and will always remember his passion and vision for making the .nyc domain available to all as a public good. My father also passed away due to ALS complications this year so this was particularly sad to hear for me. Rest in peace.

Tom, I will always remember the 120 mile bike ride to Philadelphia, the visits to your apartment in Manhattan, the time we saw the opening day of Star Wars, the times we tried to build a hologram in Forest Hills and so many other great times
I will miss you
