Alice May Landrum

Mrs. Alice May McBee Landrum, 92, died peacefully, Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Hospice Ministries, Ridgeland, Mississippi. The family will receive friends Monday, February 25, 2013 at noon until the 1:00 p.m. funeral service at St. James Episcopal Church , 3921 Oak Ridge Drive, Jackson, MS. She will be buried in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Greenwood, MS.

Mrs. Landrum is the daughter of Genevieve Cook McBee and Will Cunliffe McBee and was a native of Greenwood. She attended Mississippi State College for Women in Columbus before graduating from the University of Mississippi where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. She married Roger Carlton Landrum from Kosciusko and moved to Columbus for several years then moved to Jackson.

While in Jackson, Mrs. Landrum was a member of St. James Episcopal Church. She was a member of the Woodland Hills Garden Club, the Americana Antique Club, Las Camerades Club and several bridge clubs. The most important things to Mrs. Landrum were her family and friends. She was an ardent reader and enjoyed bridge, travel, gardening and entertaining.

Mrs. Landrum is survived by her daughter, Alicia Stevenson and husband, Tom; son, Carlton Landrum and wife Dian O’Neill-Landrum; son, McBee Landrum and wife, Susan and daughter, Vardry Landrum; granddaughter, Jessica Landrum; her niece, Genevieve Barbour; her nephews, Judge William Barbour and wife, Sherrie; McBee Barbour and wife, Linda Kaye; Great Nieces and nephews, Fair Barbour Hurst and husband Paul, Genevieve Eley, Charles Barbour and wife Laura, Will Barbour and wife Nicki, Kathryn Allman and husband Trey and John Barbour; and cousins, Margaret McLarty, Andrew McLarty and wife Emily, Nathan McLarty, Natalie Rollier and husband Jack, and Courtney Blossman.

The family wants to thank all the caregivers at The Orchard, Ridgeland and Hospice Ministries, Ridgeland.
