
A memorial service will be held at Christ United Methodist Church Wed., April 14,2010 at 11:00 A.M. with visitation starting at 10:30.
Louise was born in Atlanta, GA. She was the youngest of six children born to Ernest Julius Meiere and Bertha Traber Meiere. She graduated from Girls High and Agnes Scott College.
Louise and Lewis married in 1944 and moved to Jackson with daughter Carol in 1949. Louise taught at Murrah High School for several years. Lewis retired from South Central Bell. Both were members of Christ United Methodist Church. Louise was an avid gardener, an experienced seamstress, and enjoyed playing bridge. She was a member of the Wednesday Club and The Concordia Club
Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, 2 infant sons, her parents, 5 siblings, favorite aunt, Anna Traber and her precious Fancy.
She is survived by her daughter Carol, her fiance John Meek, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of lifelong friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made Christ United Methodist Church and CARA (Community Animal Rescue and Adoption), 960 N. Flag Chapel Rd.,Jackson, MS.
