Lucille was a long-time member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Jackson, MS where she served for many years by working in the nursery. She was a Braveheart Christian Warrior who loved the Lord above all else. She was faithful and servant and had the most beautiful soul. She truly enhanced the lives of all that knew her including those that she worked with at Groen Industries for over 20 years. She loved her family fiercely and to the fullest. Her grandchildren were her “heart” as she would always say, and they brought her so much joy and happiness. Lucille was famously known for her hamburgers and homemade fries and if you never had the pleasure of having them, you missed out! You never needed the extra salt on them either! She was a collector of angels and had them displayed everywhere in her home. She will forever be our “angel”. She also loved listening to her favorite gospel group “The Faithful 4” who were members of her church. Lucille dealt with health issues for many years and never once complained about what she had to go through. She always kept the most positive attitude and was truly an inspiration to all.

Lucille is survived by her son and daughter- in- law, Charlie and Sonya Perry of Lebanon TN; daughter and son-in- law, Vicki and Eric Whittington of Richland MS; her five grandkids, Ashley (Justin) Piner, Danielle (P-Lo) DeLeon, Eric Chase Whittington, Bryce (Kayla) Perry and Dawson Perry; Seven great grandchildren, Bailey DeLeon, Levi Piner, Gabriella DeLeon, Austin Deleon, Logan Piner, Olivia DeLeon and Luke Piner; her sister and husband, Kathleen and Thomas Byrd; sister, Hazel Taylor, sister and husband, Bobbie Nell and Latham Williams; sister-in- law, Carla Hayman; brother and wife, Royce and Margaret Hayman.
