Mr. Arnold “Mac” Minton, age 85, of Jackson, MS passed away on November 18, 2014 at Trinity Health & Rehab. Graveside services will be held Friday, November 21, 2014 at 11:00 am at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson with interment immediately following.
A native of Copiah County, Arnold “Mac” Malcolm Minton was born on April 6, 1929 to the late Willie and Thelma Hargon Minton. He served in the US Army and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict setting up communication lines. He worked for several years with the Illinois Central Railroad. He was a member of Oak Forest Baptist Church.
Mr. Minton is survived by his wife, DeLois Faust Minton; his sons, Randy Minton and Rich Minton (Michelle); his daughters, Candy Minton and Beth Minton; his sisters, Doris Graves, Elaine Cooper, Inez Townsend and Kathy Lois Lynch (Jimmy); his grandchildren, Daniel Brown, Jeffrey Brown, Timothy Brown, Natalie Minton and McKayla Minton and great-grandchildren, Jenna Brown and Mitchell Brown.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oak Forest Baptist Church, 2875 Oak Forest Dr, Jackson, MS 39212.
