Betty M Brassell

Betty Massengale Brassell, 81, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2010 at her residence. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 AM Monday, August 23, 2010 at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home downtown Jackson. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park. Visitation will be held tonight from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.

Betty was a native of Rankin County and opened the first flower shop in Rankin County. She served as a florist for 54 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy (Danny) Hall; sons, James Alton (Debra) Brassell and Joe Ben Brassell; sisters-in-law, Maxine Brassell and Earline Greynolds; grandchildren, James Thomas Brassell, Camelia Sheffield, Daniel Hall, Sarah Hall, Gavin Michael Brassell, Christopher Michael Cox and Johnna Brock; great-grandchildren, Michael Dylan Stokley, Samuel Brayden Hall, and Matthew Blake Hall
