15 years before serving as music secretary until her retirement in
2003.
Billie Sue loved her family more than anything in this world. Her
three children, four grandchildren, and great granddaughter were a
part of her everyday life. Billie Sue loved talking about all of them
to anyone who had a few minutes to listen. They will all miss her
terribly.
Billie Sue had many passions. She loved her church, her many friends,
gardening, baking for others, and music. Her front porch and yard were
full of beautiful things she planted and nurtured through the years.
Her cooking and baking were enjoyed by many. She expressed during her
final conversation how excited she was about all the holiday baking
she had planned. This included treats for family, friends and
neighbors in the community, and even the postman. She loved doing for
others.
