Brenda Long George

Brenda George passed away on Monday, June 13, 2016, at Merit Health Hospital in Jackson. A graveside service celebrating her life will be on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 11:00 am at Lakewood Memorial Park on Clinton Blvd. in Jackson.

Brenda graduated from Forrest Hill High School and attended the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS. She was associated with Waggoner Engineering Co. in Jackson. Brenda was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. She gave all of herself so freely and expected nothing in return. She knew it was more blessed to give than to receive.

She is survived by her husband, Glen George of Jackson, MS; her parents, Robert and Martha Long of Jackson; one son, Sean George of Titusville, Florida; two daughters, Courtney Harvey of Bossier City, LA and Makenzie Martinez of Virginia Beach, Virginia. She was also survived and loved by seven grandchildren; and two brothers, Bo Long of Byram and Gary Long of Clinton.

She was an avid animal lover. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Mississippi Animal Rescue League, 5221 Greenway Drive, Jackson, MS 39204.
