

Charles Bobo, 73, a resident of Brookhaven, MS, passed away at 5 pm, Monday, November 17, 2014 following a lengthy illness. Charles was born March 21, 1941 in Lorman, MS to the late Lola Wroten and Howard Bobo. He was preceded in death by brothers Lavel and Gromer Bobo.
Charles is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Prudence "Prue" Martin Bobo, two sons, Charles Martin “Marty” Bobo and wife Linda, Michael Redding Bobo and wife Lindsey, sister, Shirley Bobo Johnson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Charles was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi where he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity. He served in the Mississippi National Guard prior to beginning his business life. Following a career in the computer technology industry, Charles became an entrepreneur. He owned multiple Jackson businesses including Doors of Distinction along with his wife Prue for 17 years. A great cook; he was a partner in two restaurants, Phil's Place and Bo-Don's. He was also active in real estate.
Charles was a devoted husband and father and true friend to all who knew him. His courage and faith in the Lord was unwavering during a 15 year battle with Leukemia and in all of life's challenges.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2014 from 1:00-3:00 pm at Lakewood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3 pm in the chapel followed by interment at Lakewood Memorial Park.
