Charles Oliver Swedenburg, 82, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023 at his home in Raymond, MS. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 15 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with a funeral service to follow at Lakewood Funeral Home, 6011 Clinton Blvd, Jackson, MS. A graveside service will follow at Lakewood South Memorial Park.
Charles was a member of Raymond Road Baptist Church where he faithfully served as a Deacon. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Nash Swedenburg; father, William H. Swedenburg and stepmother, Ruby Swedenburg; mother, Hazel Britt Esco and stepfather, George Esco; son, Gary Swedenburg; and brothers, Alvin Swedenburg and Gary Thomas.
He is survived by his children, Teresa Robinson (Randy), Mark Swedenburg (Michelle), Amanda Swedenburg, Sandra Eady (Jeff) and Samantha Swedenburg; brother, Ronnie Thomas; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
