Cheryl Smith

Cheryl Jean Smith, 66 died August 19, 2021 at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. A funeral service will be held 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Lakewood Funeral Home with burial in Lakewood Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Smith was born April 29, 1955, the daughter of the late Howard T. Giles and Ruby J. Giles. She retired as an General Motors Operator. Mrs. Smith is known for her wisdom and giving heart while forever helping others with her words of advice and support. She impacted those around her with love and devotion, not only to her family but others that she accepted as extended family or a friend. One of her favorite past times was spending time with her sister at Sonic and solving all of the worlds problems.

She will most be remembered, a cherished mother to Patricia Jean Hutcherson (Steve) of Huntsville, AL and Bobbie Jo Smith of Bolton; a devoted grandmother to Dalton Hutcherson of Troy, MI, Hunter Hutcherson (Monti) of Greensboro, NC, Alexiss Smith of Bolton; and great granddaughter Hazleighh Smith. She is also survived by her sister Dianne Sellers (Jerry) of Clinton, MS and sister in law Patricia Giles of Vicksburg, MS.
