

Mrs. Cabell was born July 10, 1944 in Pascagoula, MS, to Helon Breazeale Koch and Claiborne Netto Koch. She attended Beach Elementary and Pascagoula Junior High, and Pascagoula High School, where she was a homecoming maid, beauty, member of the Piano Club, Key Club, Y-Teens, FTA, JRC, Class officer, Student Council and Panther Pen staff. She graduated from PHS in 1962. She was also schooled for many years in piano and ballet.
Growing up in Pascagoula, she was an active member of First Presbyterian Church. She attended Belhaven College in Jackson, MS and the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS.
She raised her four children in Laurel and Jackson, MS while also devoting her time to serving others. She was a long time member of the Gamma Iota chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha, where she served as president among many other roles.
She also enjoyed playing bridge and was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Laurel and Galloway Methodist Church in Jackson. She enjoyed gardening, decorating, reading, family history, taking care of her pets,
and doing things for others. She was devoted to her husband and was so proud of all of her children and grandchildren. She made everything beautiful with her special touches, and she was a friend to everyone with her thoughtfulness and kindness.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claiborne Koch.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dr. Tommy Cabell of Madison, MS, her sisters and brothers-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Red Moffat (Helen), and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cabell (Debbie), all of Jackson, MS, her son Charles Claiborne (Clay) Flowers of Ocean Springs, MS; her daughter Catherine Christina (Cathy) Flowers Rushing and husband, Mike, of Mesa, AZ; her daughter Virginia Lea (Ginger) Flowers Scarborough and husband, Darrin of Pass Christian, MS; her son Matthew Koch (Matt) Flowers and wife, Amy of Laurel, MS. She is also survived by her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Breazeale of Kosciusko, MS, and many Koch and Breazeale cousins.
She was blessed with many wonderful grandchildren: Tiffany Keith, Joseph and Cati Rushing of Mesa, AZ; Nick, Brad, Cara, Mary Claire, and Jared Scarborough of Pass Christian, MS; and Zach and Josh Flowers of Laurel, MS. They will always love their "Mimi."
She also leaves four step-children and grandchildren Dr. Thomas Cabell, Jr. (Erin), of Nashville, TN and Owen, Gabe, Edie and Baby Cabell; Dr. Adam Cabell (Callie), of Jonesboro, AK and Noah, Mason, Charlotte, and Sadie; Jason Cabell (Hannah), of New Orleans, LA and Baby Cabell; and Anna Catherine Cabell Splaingard (David) of Jackson, MS, and Sophia and Ezra.
She also leaves behind special friend Sarah Robinson as well as a lifetime of other wonderful friends.
Christina loved caring for everyone around her and dearly loved her pets and "grand-pets" Casey, Lucky, PeaPod, Wooze, Tiger, Ranger, Monkey and Frodo.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mississippi Animal Rescue League, 5221 Greenway Drive, Jackson, Mississippi, 39204.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 25, 2012, from 5-7 p.m. at Galloway Methodist Church in Jackson. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at 2 p.m.
Friends may visit one hour prior to the service. " To see her is to love her and to love but her forever."
