
Clyde Hubert Graham, 94, went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 31, 2014. Funeral arrangements are Wednesday at Raymond Road Baptist Church at 11 am. Visitation will begin at 9 am. Interment to follow at Lakewood South Memorial Park. Mr. Graham was born in Braxton, MS. He proudly served his country in the United States Army in the Battle of the Bulge during WWII. He served in Company C, 17th Engr Bn and Company B, 23rd Engr Bn. He was a retired mechanic. He enjoyed hunting, raising beagles, taxidermy and woodworking. He was a member of Raymond Road Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo and Hester Graham; four brothers, Billy, Bob, Boyd and Vernon Graham; sister, Myrtle Kirkland. He is survived by his bride of sixty-eight years, Alice Marie Greer Graham; daughters, Kay Shields (Lucian) of Florence and Melba Graham of Tennessee; nieces, Mavis Landers and Betty Halbe; nephews, Ivan Myers and Bobby Graham; three grandchildren and six great- grandchildren. The family would like to express gratitude to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the VA Hospital, the visitors, calls and ministerial staff.
