Across a life shaped by steady purpose and quiet strength, David was deeply beloved—someone whose devotion was felt most clearly in the commitments he kept and the care he showed to those around him. A hard-working man in every sense, he brought diligence and constancy to his home, his vocation, and his church community.
For 30 years, David served as a neuroscience specialist with Abbott Pharmaceuticals, a career marked by long-standing dedication and the kind of reliability that earns lasting respect.
On February 18, 1984, he married Sandra Seward in Baton Rouge, LA. Their marriage stood as a testament to enduring devotion and the faithful presence David offered to his family throughout his life.
David also gave generously of his time and leadership at Briarwood Presbyterian Church, serving as a presbyterian elder for over a decade and contributing through various committees—work carried out with humility, steadiness, and sincere care for his church family.
David was preceded in death by his father, Reginald French; his mother, Jewell French; his brother, Reggie French (Sandra Marie); his sister, Susan Salard (Pete Salard); his grandson, Jacob French; and his brother-in-law, Shawn Yates.
