Doris Horton, 83, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at Trinity Nursing Home in Clinton. Visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 from 6-8 PM and on Thursday from 10-11 AM with a graveside service to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Horton was born on May 12, 1932 in Laurel Hill, MS to the late Hillard and Alma Tolbert Posey. She was a resident of Clinton for the past 50 years.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Malcolm Horton; daughters, Kathy Yarbrough (James) of Raymond and Becky Miles (Ed) of Brandon; sons, Robert Horton (Janie) of Richland and Gary Horton (Tressa) of Jackson; sister, Mary Dodd of Amory; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one nephew and several nieces.
