Dorothy Jean Fisher, 83, of Richland, Mississippi, passed away on June 15, 2026. Born April 11, 1943, in Decatur, Mississippi, she lived with steady grace and quiet strength, offering those around her a life marked by devotion, diligence, and enduring love.
Dorothy built a life of faithful service both at home and in her work. She was an Administrative Assistant with Standard Life Insurance and Baptist Hospital, roles that reflected her dependable nature and the care she brought to the everyday needs of others.
In Jackson, Mississippi, she married Kenneth O Fisher, and together they shared a life grounded in family and commitment. Dorothy’s heart was most at home in the simple, meaningful joys she cherished: loving her family, cooking for those she held dear, reading—especially her Bible—gathering with family, and making trips to the Great Smoky Mountains. In these moments, her warmth and steadiness were felt most clearly, and her presence became a source of comfort and connection.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her father, Marzine Munn; her mother, Bonnie Jean Munn; her sister, Mary Munn; and her brother, Joe Munn. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth O Fisher; her son, Lamar Fisher (Missy M); her brother, Johnny Munn; and her grandson, Justin Fisher.
Visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home, 6011 Clinton Blvd, on June 18, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. An additional visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home on June 19, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:00 am. A Celebration of Life will follow at Lakewood Funeral Home on June 19, 2026, beginning at 11:00 am. A Committal Service will take place at Lakewood Memorial Park.
