Dorothy Tucker Rosamond, 90, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 27 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Rosamond was born on July 7, 1931 in Vaiden, MS to the late Lonnie and Bertha Tucker. She worked for many years with School Pictures Inc. She was a faithful member of Providence Presbyterian Church and was very involved in many of the church activities. She was a very talented high school athlete who especially excelled in basketball. She passed her love of sports on to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and could often be found cheering them on in the stands with her husband, George. She enjoyed gardening and doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but above all, she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George Rosamond; parents; and siblings, Jack Tucker and Margaret Tucker.
Mrs. Rosamond is survived by her sons, Gary Rosamond (Cindy) of Clinton and Mike Rosamond (Kay) of Oxford; sister, Janie Melton (Bubba), 4 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
