She was born on February 23, 1939 to the late C.H. and Ruby Lee McGarrh. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Byram, MS. Dot loved her family and her church family.
Dot retired in 1995 from Bell South with 38 years of service. She also worked for her husbands' business Oscar Smith Auto Repair and Alignmnent after her retirement.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband Oscar Smith; three brothers, Melvin McGarrh, John McGarrh, and Billy McGarrh; and a grandson Cody Allen Smith.
Dot is survied by her son Michael Wayne Smith (Angie) of Byram, MS, granddaughter Kristin Johnson (Mark) of Hattiesburg, MS and extended family.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM at Lakewood Memorial Park South, 430 McCluer Rd.
