UMMC, after a lengthy illness. He was born in Jackson, MS on October 17, 1951.
He attended Wingfield High School.
Doug owned Sheffield Plumbing Company for the past 30 years. He had been
employed at JPS Plumbing Department for the last 6 years. Doug felt his greatest
achievements were being married to his wife Debbie for 46 years, and raising
his four children. He was a wonderful husband and father. He shared his love
of hot rods with his sons and was always there for each of his children.
Doug is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Frankie Sheffield.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie; his four children: Tracy Lindsay, Daniel Sheffield,
Megan Sheffield, and Alex Sheffield; his brothers, Glenn Sheffield and Terry
Sheffield; sister, Barbara Smith; and grandchildren, Madelyn and Joseph Lindsay.
