

Duane Felts Hall passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024. A visitation for Duane will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Lakeside Presbyterian Church, Brandon, Mississippi and Wednesday, September 18, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM with a funeral service to follow at 1:30 PM. Duane will be laid to rest in Lakewood Memorial Park, 6000 Clinton Blvd., Jackson, Mississippi 39209.
Duane was born on May 20, 1933 in Durant, MS to the late Herbert Felts Hall and Grace Inez Shaw Hall. Following High School, he joined the Army and served in Korean War. While in Korea he was in the Army Security Agency. After discharge from the Army, he joined the Army Reserve in Memphis, TN, where he attended Memphis State University. In 1964 he transferred to the Air National Guard in Jackson Mississippi and served in Vietnam, Desert Storm and the Gulf War. He began his career with Farm Bureau Casualty as a Field Underwriter and retired in 1995.
Duane married Mary Louise Gartee on February 26, 1956 and were married for 64 years. Duane loved taking Mary to destinations he had visited while in the Military, domestic and abroad. Duane and Mary were active in their Church, Lakeside Presbyterian Church, Brandon. He was ordained as a Deacon in the late 1970’s at Calvary Baptist in Hattiesburg, Park Place in Brandon and Liberty in Flowood. He was also a member of the American Legion and the VFW.
Duane is preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Louise Hall; parents and two brothers. He is survived by a son, Mike Hall (Debbie); daughter, Becky Shelton (Richard) and son, Stephen Hall; six grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
