Edna Ponder Tackett Stribling, 88, died Friday Feb. 1, 2013 at River Oaks Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Monday from the chapel of Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home High Street, with visitation Sunday from 2pm till 4pm and Monday from 10:00am till 11:00am. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park.

Mrs. Stribling was born in Johns, MS. Jan. 5, 1925. She was a lifetime member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She worked many years at Barbara's Boutique. She was a member of the ladies auxiliary of the V.F.W., The Moose Lodge and The American Legion.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, John Kelly Tackett Sr. and Kenneth B. Stribling, three brothers, one sister and a great-granddaughter.

Survivors include son, Kelly Tackett (Lyndi) of Jackson, MS., three daughters, Donna Windham (Vic) of Brandon, MS., Patty Flint of Elizabethton, TN., Susan Mercer (Earl) of Memphis, TN., two brothers, Mike Ponder of Flowood , MS. and John Lindsey Ponder of Johns, MS., fourteen grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchilren.
