Eileen was the beloved wife of the late Tony Weisenberger, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and devotion. Together, they raised nine children, building a home centered on faith, family, love, and service.
Eileen was a graduate of St. Mary Catholic School in Jackson, St. Joseph High School in Jackson, and Ursuline College in Louisville. She began her career as a teacher at St. Richard Catholic School before dedicating herself fully to her greatest calling: being a wife and mother. She devoted her life to raising her nine children and creating a loving home for her family.
Her Catholic faith was a cornerstone of her life. Eileen faithfully served the Church and was a longtime member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Jackson before becoming a member of Holy Savior Catholic Church in Clinton. Her faith, compassion, and quiet strength were reflected in the way she lived and cared for those around her. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxillary at Holy Savior, visited parish shut-ins, participated in Meals on Wheels with the Four C’s in Clinton and served on various school boards over the years.
Eileen is preceded in death by her parents, Michael H Harkins and Mary Cecelia (McManus) Harkins along with five siblings. She is survived by her nine children: Mike (Della) of Clinton, Agnes (Rodney) of Terry, John (Juana) of Clinton, Mary (Kevin) of Brandon, Lorena (Jim) of Clinton, Matt (Melinda) of Clinton, Mitch of Clinton, Thad (Blayne) of Clinton, and Phillip (Amber) of Clinton. She also leaves behind 20 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who were a great source of joy and pride in her life.
Eileen will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her devotion to her faith, and the countless ways she gave of herself to those she loved. Her greatest legacy is the family she and Tony built together, her faith, and the love that will continue through the generations.
