Born on October 26, 1929, in Osborne, Kansas, she was the daughter of Elena Inez and Aaron M. Storer. Her family moved to Jackson, Mississippi, when she was at a very young age. Growing up in Jackson, she graduated from Central High School in 1947, and from Belhaven College, where she majored in Voice and Elementary Education. Following college, she was a dedicated teacher at Lester Elementary in Jackson until her retirement. She was a very gifted soprano and a frequent soloist in her Central Presbyterian church and for many Jackson community and private events.
Following her retirement, she moved to Alabama to live near family until her death. She is remembered for her fierce love for family, her generosity, and her compassion for others. She lived and loved well and will be deeply missed.
She was pre-deceased by her parents and is survived by one sister, Elena Storer Munsey, Niece, Michele Munsey Denton (Keith), Nephew, Stan Munsey, Jr, (Donna), Great Nephews, Matthew (Sallie), Stephen (Caroline), Philip Denton, and many special dear cousins.
A graveside service will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park, located at 6000 Clinton Blvd., Jackson, Mississippi, 39209. The service is scheduled for November 11, 2025, at 10:30 am. Pallbearers include Keith Denton, Matthew Denton, Stephen Denton, Philip Denton, Philip Jones, and Ben Pyle. An honorary pallbearer is Stan Munsey, Jr.
