Elouise P Lee

Elouise Powell Lee, 78, of Valparaiso, IN formerly of Brandon, MS passed away Monday, May 08, 2017. She was born October 19, 1938 in Lexington, MS to David and Adelle (Lucius) Powell. Elouise graduated from Lexington High School and attended Delta State University for 2 years. She worked as a Claims Representative with the Social Security Administration for 27 years and as a secretary at University of Mississippi Medical Center for over 15 years. She also worked part-time at McRae’s Department Store for many years. Elouise was a member of First Baptist Church in Jackson, MS.

Elouise is survived by her children, Debra (husband Robert) Farrar-Schneider of Valparaiso, IN, James Colvin “CJ” Farrar, Jr. of Springfield, MO; and grandchildren, Ashleigh Schneider, Robert Schneider, and Triniti Farrar. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lee, and brothers Raymond Powell and Glenmore Powell.

A visitation will be held Monday, May 15, 2017 from 12-2 pm at Lakewood Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 6011 Clinton Blvd, Jackson, MS. The funeral service will begin at 2 pm immediately following visitation at the same location. Rev. Tom Washburn officiating with burial to follow. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
