Ethel R. Horne, age 97, of Terry passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024. Ethel was born in Philadelphia, Mississippi.

Ethel grew up in the Methodist Children's Home in Jackson. She graduated from Central High School and met the love of her life Jimmie Horne and they married in 1950. Ethel would go on to work for AT&T for just over 37 years and was an avid Lady Head Vase Collector.

Ethel is survived by her sister, Shirley Whitehead and brother, Jerry Whitehead.

Ethel was preceded in death by their husband, Jimmie Horne; sister, Wilsie Dee Sills; and brothers, Wilbur Rosamond, Merwin Rosamond, Hobart Rosamond, Cager Rosamond.

A visitation for Ethel will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Lakewood Funeral Home. Following the visitation will be a pavilion service at 11:00 AM at Lakewood Memorial Park.
