Evelyn M Bigner

Evelyn was born to Edwin and Arie (Moak) May on January 11, 1925. She was the youngest of 8 children, born in Summit, Mississippi.

Evelyn was married to J.W. Bigner of Summit, MS, with whom she spent 54 years of her life before his passing in 1998. Together they built a beautiful life and settled in Jackson, MS. They had two daughters, Janice and Brenda, and from them, seven grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, J.W., grandson Marc Ball, granddaughter, Malissa Cook, great grandson Ty Cook, all of her siblings, Homer, Stanley, Vernon, Charles (John), Hilton, Finlee and Gladys (Stinson) and many nieces and nephews.

She is survived by daughters Jan Hill of Bacliff, TX, Brenda Sims (Mike) of Crystal Springs, MS, grandchildren Brian Cook of TX, Christi (Cook) Barnes (Pat) of Bossier City, LA, Heath Sims (Karla) of Florence, MS, Michelle Martin of Florence, MS, Lacy Hill of Seabrook, TX and great-grandchildren Reed Barnes, J.T. and Sam Martin, Alexis and Alaina Cook, Jayden and Jionni Quiroz and Tyler and Brooke Sims.

Services for Mrs. Bigner will be Tuesday, December 26, 2023 as follows:

Visitation from 11:00am-1:00pm at Lakewood Funeral Home, Clinton, MS with service immediately following at 1:00pm. No graveside service.
