Gail Kelley Shelton

Gail was a Registered Nurse at MBMC for 44 years from 1968 to 2012. She graduated from Baptist Hospital's Gilfoy School of Nursing in 1968 and retired from Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in 2012.

Gail is preceded in death by her parents, W. Irvin Kelley and Norma Kelley; sisters, Norma Bethana Kelley, Billie Kelley Jenkins and Irvita Kelley Moffat; brother, John Arthur Kelley, Sr.

She is survived by her husband, Mack Shelton; daughter, Paige Scott) Shappley of Brandon, MS and their daughters, Emma and Sophie; son, Jeff (Tammy) Shelton of Decatur, MS and their sons, Lance (Heather) and Aden; nieces and nephews, Vivian Jenkins Watson, Pam Kelley, Kelley Walker Lightsey, John Kelley, Jr., Kim Walker Brashier, Dia Jenkins Welch, Bill Walker, Merrie Jenkins Smith, Melissa Kelley Stremmel and Deborah Jenkins Purvis.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home, 6011 Clinton Blvd, Jackson, Mississippi 39209, on June 25, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at 3:00 pm. Final resting place will be at Lakewood Memorial Park, 6000 Clinton Blvd., Jackson.
