Garland Ray Campbell

Garland Ray Campbell passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 in Terry, Ms. He was born on October 1, 1927 in Benton, Ms. He attended schools in Raymond and Terry.

Ray met his wife Margaret Porter Campbell in Greenwood, Ms. They were married on October 5, 1946 and made their home in Jackson, Ms. and later in Terry, Ms. until her death on July 29, 2021.

Ray was employed by Jitney Jungle and Jackson Ready Mix. He began working at Revell Hardware in 1953 and worked there as a purchasing agent for 48 years.

Ray Loved gardening, woodworking, wood carving and spending time with family. He Loved the Lord and was a member of Alta Woods Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Campbell and Rebecca Cochran Campbell; his brothers John Campbell and Charles Campbell; and a sister Juanita Campbell. He is survived by his son, Craig ( Jane ) Terry, Ms; granddaughters, Marianna Riley (Zack) Clinton Ms; Olivia Wilkins ( Hayden) Terry, Ms; great grandchildren, Campbell and Sarah Vaughn Riley; Jane Claire and Haskell Wilkins; sister Arla Mae Bailey; sister-in-law Paula Campbell.

He will be missed by family and friends. A private service will be officiated by Rev. Zack Riley.
