There will be a visitation on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Jackson, MS from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 10:00am at the Calhoun Family Cemetery in Simpson County.
Mrs. Calhoun was born in McCall Creek, MS on August 13, 1919 to Mr. William Walter Rees and Mrs. Mary Melissa Netherland. She attended McCall Creek High School and later went on to Business College.
She retired from the V.A in the 70s after many years of service.
Mrs. Calhoun is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 33 years Charlie Tillman Calhoun.
She is survived by her son, Russell A. Calhoun and his wife Christy Moon Calhoun; sister, Peggy Patterson and Sister-in-law Mattie Rees.
