

Visitation will be Friday, August 12, 2011 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Wright & Ferguson on High Street and Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00 at First Baptist Church of Jackson. Funeral services will be at the First Baptist Church of Jackson - Chapel on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 10:00 am with burial at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Grace Lary was born in Florence, MS on June 2, 1915 to Samuel Elmo Lary and Henrie Sue Burke Lary. At the age of one, they moved to Jackson where she graduated from Central High School and Draughn’s Business College. She was married to Maurice B. Daniels for fifty six (56) years.
During WWII she was an accountant for a local electric power company in Jackson, MS
She joined First Baptist Church, Jackson about 1933. In 1948, she and Maurice moved to Tupelo, MS where they were members of Calvary Baptist Church. Grace devoted her life to her family. She enjoyed gardening and especially loved growing roses. In 1972, they moved back to Jackson and rejoined First Baptist Church where she was an active member of the Truthseekers Sunday School Class.
She is survived by her children: Maurice Lary Daniels, Gloria D. Hasseltine, and Patricia D. Moore (Ben) ; grandchildren Suzanne Eskrigge (John), Hanley Hasseltine, Jr. (Cam) and Sha Toohig (John); as well as great-grandchildren Worth Eskrigge, Grace Ann Eskrigge, Hayes Hasseltine, Hastings Hasseltine, and Helen Grace Toohig.
She was preceded in death by her husband Maurice B. Daniels, parents Sam E. and Sue Lary, a sister Hazel L. Patrick, a brother Sam Lary Jr., and a grandson, Benjamin A. Moore, Jr.
She was loved by all who knew her for she was an amazing Grace.
