There will be a graveside service for Helen January 15, 2025 at 3 p.m. in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Helen is survived by her children, Janie Crothers Hays, Cullan Crothers, and Kevin Crothers; her grandchildren, Keith Hays, Steve Hays, Quinn Crothers, Kacy Crothers, and Quest Crothers; and her numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Ashburne “Larry” Crothers, who passed away in 1977.
Helen was a devoted mother and grandmother who brought warmth, wisdom, and joy to her family, many times followed with her creative fun jokes and her "Ha Haaa!" with her beautiful smile and sparkling eyes.
After the loss of her husband, Helen worked in home care, ensuring that the homes she cared for were impeccably maintained. She coordinated contractors and services while also taking on the hard work of cleaning and upkeep, becoming a trusted partner for several families with large homes.
Helen lived in Kilmichael, Stewart, Jackson, Brandon, Ridgeland, and Madison and was a member of St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
Enjoying the simple things of life many people these days ignore, Helen's spirit and zest for life was infectious, and her energy and enthusiasm were as enduring as her love for her family.
Helen's love for God was evident through all her years to her family and to others who knew her.
