James L. McAlpin, 84, passed away Friday, December 24, 2010 at Covenant Health in Vicksburg. Visitation will be tonight from 5:30pm – 8:00pm at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 2pm in the funeral home chapel with interment to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mr. McAlpin was a member of First Baptist Church of Byram. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the American Legion.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne McAlpin. He is survived by his sons, Rodney McAlpin (Babs) and Gary McAlpin; daughters, Wendy McAlpin and Tonya Adams; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and one on the way.
