James Rufus Reep, loving husband and father, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Lakewood Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
James was born in Ridgeland, MS on January 22, 1931 to John James and Rosaline Francis Reep. He graduated from Madison-Ridgeland High School in 1949. He furthered his career at Hinds Community College with a degree in automotive and diesel mechanics. He retired as a construction equipment mechanic from Walker Jones Equipment (RSC). He retired from the US Navy after 30 years of service including serving in the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
James is survived by his wife of 56 years, Alice Noreen Moore Reep; three daughters, Theresa Lorraine Reep of Brandon, MS, Loriann Frances Reep of Marietta, GA and Mary Alice Reep Kirby of Hendersonville, TN.
