Janie had a passion for travel and house plants, and she found joy in spending time with her five grandchildren. She loved the beach, was an avid oil painter, and adored her fur babies.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Christopher Price, who resides in Brandon, Mississippi. Janie also leaves behind her cherished daughters, Elizabeth Price of Brandon, Mississippi, Heather Huguley of Dover, Tennessee, and Monica Hinojosa of Beaumont, Texas, and five grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Jo Schulze, and brother, Walter Schneider, both of Killeen, Texas.
Janie was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Constance Schneider.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home, located at 6011 Clinton Blvd, Jackson, Mississippi, 39209. The service is scheduled for September 27, 2025, at 4:00 pm.
Janie will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
