Jessie A. Hawkins
Born MARCH 5, 1907
Jessie Ashley Hawkins, 103, died Monday February 7, 2011 at St. Catherine’s Village in Madison.
A Prayer Service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday February 10, 2011 in the Suite at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home on High St.. Visitation will begin at 12 Noon. Interment will be in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Hawkins was a native of the Ashley Community in Copiah County. She was the daughter of the late Daniel Leroy and Mary Lela Fenter Ashley. She received her Bachelor of Arts and Masters Degrees at Mississippi College. She was a former resident of Clinton.
She retired in 1970 after teaching 3e3 years a Bailey Junior High School. She was a member of First Baptist Church Jackson.
