John “Clayton” Kabbes, Jr. (32) was born on September 18, 1990 in Jackson, Mississippi and passed away in Vicksburg, Mississippi on March 20, 2023. Clayton grew up in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School. An entertainer with an infectious laugh, Clayton brought humor and cheer to all those who knew him. The friendships he made throughout his life were everlasting and treasured.
Clayton will be remembered as a devoted father and immediate pal to his sons, Jase (7), Graham (3) and his nephew, Carter (8). Clayton loved teaching the boys nature and survival, the art of cooking, music, hunting, watching sports, especially the Ole Miss Rebels, throwing and hitting baseballs, golf balls and more. Clayton, along with his wife, Tatum designed a chore chart for the boys to understand responsibility and completing assignments. These lessons will be a beacon of Clayton’s bright light as the children learn and grow.
Clayton was the manager of Blue Ribbon Kennels, a family owned business and full-time training and boarding facility with prize winning Labradors. Clayton was also excited to embark on a new venture with Combined Insurance.
