Mrs. Judith Hamilton, age 82, of Clinton, Mississippi passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022. Visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home on Friday, September 2 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM with the funeral service to begin at 11:00 AM. A graveside service will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Judy was born August 28, 1940 to the late James and Lorene Reed Parks. As a part of a military family, Judy had the opportunity to live in Panama, Japan, and Germany during her school years. She continued her education at Mississippi College by earning her BS in Mathematics, and later MS in Computer Science. She taught high school math, worked for the Army Corps of Engineers, and worked for Mississippi College in the Computer Sciences department, from where she retired in 2017. She married her soulmate, Roger Hamilton, in 1977.
Judy and Roger lived in Fairfax, VA, Fort Worth, TX, but considered Clinton, MS home.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Roger Hamilton; parents; and her beloved canine companion, Peanut.
Judy is survived by her siblings, Jim Parks (Betty) and Debbie Cummins (Rodney); nieces and nephews, Kathy Storm (Eric) and their children, Sydney and Sam, Bill Parks (Sandra) and his children, Travis and Haley, Nathan Cummins (Kelli), and Stephanie Palmertree (Ryan) and their children, Xander and Corbin.
The family would like to thank Virgie Coleman, Lyndia Reese, Elle Frank and Wanda Allen for the compassionate care and love they showed Mrs. Judy.
