

Judy was raised by her maternal grandparents, Ed and Mittie Butts. Judy acknowledged Christ in her life at an early age. She often reflected on her memories of her grandfather being a pastor and preacher. She attended church frequently during her childhood and young adulthood. Judy received her education in Georgia.
Judy married and divorced at a young age. She moved from Georgia to Mississippi and had her children Daniel Little Sr. and Jason Little. Judy always stated that she had been around Jackson, MS a long time. Judy was always focused on making her life better by working hard. Judy believed that if you a person was able bodied, that they should work for what they need and want. Judy spent most of her life working in food service and hotel hospitality industries. Judy had job offers as recent as in the last two years. Everyone that she worked for and with considered her as dependable, trustworthy, and loyal. Her coworkers were always like family members.
Judy was an outgoing person who never met a stranger. She was stern and steady. Judy enjoyed listening to music, shopping, and pampering herself. She always had a plan for herself. She enjoyed being a part of her community. She always shared whatever she had with those around her. She was a very tidy individual who kept order and cleanliness in her living space.
Judy was really a big-hearted person. She felt that she had lived a full life. She was hopeful about making progress to live the most independent life she could have. During her times of illness she remained strong and steadfast. She overcame her illness and truly fought a great fight.
On May 21, 2022, the Lord called Judy home and Judy answered the call. She leaves memories to her sons Daniel and Jason. Judy was always speaking of the fond memories of her grandson, DJ, Daniel Jr. She wanted the best for him and his future. The thought of DJ brought a bright smile to her face.
Over the last 11 years Judy developed a loving friendship with a special friend, Tony Hollins. Judy adopted Tony and Cecelia Hollins, their children, and their families as her own family. Judy always considered Tony in her every thought and deed. Judy expected the best for the Hollins children and wanted them to get their education and be outstanding individuals in the future.
A pavilion service for Judy will be held Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Lakewood Memorial Park, 6000 Clinton Blvd., Jackson, Mississippi 39209.
