Kate Gladney Coleman, 92, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023 at Compere’s Nursing Home in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home on Thursday, March 30 at 11:00 AM with a short family service following visitation led by Pastor Glenn Pope of Lakeshore Congregational Methodist Church.
Born in Weir, MS on January 18, 1931 to Ben and Annie Gladney, she attended Weir High School. Anyone that knew Kate, knew she loved gardening, cooking and her grandchildren.
Kate is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Coleman; brothers, Robert, Harold, Gene, Ben and Benard; and sister, Faye Gladney.
Kate is survived by her two sons, Ken Coleman (Nancy) and Dennis Coleman (Renee); grandchildren, Michelle Harper (Chase), Brittany Parker (Kyle) and Tyler Coleman; great grandchildren, Amelia and Gatlin Harper; Olive and Aubrey Parker.
The family would like to thank the staff at Compere’s Nursing Home for their kindhearted care.
