

Linda Sue Bowen, 65, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Oschner Medical Center in Grenta, LA. A private burial was held at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson, MS. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 19, 2016 from 4:00-6:00 PM at the Riverview Room in River City Venues, next door to Mardi Gras World, New Orleans.
Linda was born in Jackson, MS on September 8, 1950 to the late Alfred “AJ” and Mildred Houston Bowen. She graduated from Wingfield High School, Jackson, MS in 1968 and attended Mississippi State College for Women and majored in Speech. After moving to New Orleans in 1996, Linda became a tour guide for Mardi Gras World for the last twenty years. She was a creative individual who enjoyed the arts and ancient history.
She is survived by one daughter, Liz Cummins and her partner John Bailey of Reno, Nevada; one sister, Nancy Guillickson of Lawrenceville, GA; one nephew, Jay Guillickson of Lawrenceville, GA; one niece, Christine Norton and her husband Dean Norton and their son, Johnny Norton of Atlanta, GA.
