Louise Ferguson Trim

Mrs. Trim nee Lousie Ferguson was the daughter of the late Rev. J.E.J. Ferguson and Delle Prudence Clark Ferguson. Mrs. Trim moved to Jackson Mississippi in 1936. She was a graduate of Millsaps College Class of 1935. She taught in the public schools around the state. She was a member of Galloway Memorial United Methodist Church since 1936. She taught Sunday School in the Junior Department for 20 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Women and the Mary Womack Sunday School class. She was a member of Le Mercredi, Les Doubles and Mecca clubs. She enjoyed the Saturday group and several bridge clubs. She was preceded in death by her husband W. R. (Bob) Trim and her sisters Christine Upshaw and Mary Herlong, brother Dr. James S. Ferguson and her son in law Dr. Garland (Seale) Stewart, Jr. and her nephew Dr. Jefferson Davis Upshaw.

In 1999 Mrs. Trim moved to Columbus, Mississippi to be near her daughter. She was a resident of Trinity Place. While in Columbus she attended First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Trim was a member of the United Methodist Women circle #5 and the Emma Bell Sunday School class. Mrs. Trim was a member of the Thursday and Friday duplicate bridge clubs. She is survived by her daughter Judy Stewart of Columbus, grandson Kevin Stewart (Tabitha) of Caledonia , granddaughter Kimberly Johnson (Brett Johnson, Jr.) of Columbus. Six great grandchildren Bailey Ann and Brady C. Stewart and William Brett Johnson III of Columbus, Mississippi and Quincy, Drew and Lauren Cole of Caledonia, Mississippi. A host of nieces including Mrs. Mary Delle McCarthy of Jackson, Mississippi. Ms. Frances Ferguson of Chicago, Illinois and Mrs. Lynn Gibbs Greensboro, North Carolina. And a great niece Mary Katherine McCarthy. And a host of great nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson Mississippi Friday June 21st at 1:00 with Bishop Clay Lee officiating.
