

Mrs. Mable “Lucille” Turner, age 95, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. Visitation will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 PM Sunday, November 2, 2014 at Lakewood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 3 at Lakewood Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Mable Lucille Turner was born in Buckatunna, MS on May 3, 1919. She was the daughter of Jesse and Gaberilla Palmer Taylor. She worked hard to provide for her family. She worked as a Manager with Super Stop Convenience Store. She was very independent and instilled in her children the belief that they could do anything they put their mind to. She enjoyed watching baseball and loved the Atlanta Braves. She was a member of Lakeshore Baptist Church of Jackson.
Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband William T. Prince; her second husband, Barney H. Turner; her sons, Clarence Allen “Buddy” Prince and James Robert Prince; and one daughter, Peggy Lavonne Evans. She is survived by her son, Billy Prince (Caren); her daughters, Sara Mohead, Jean Elizabeth May (Enman) and Bobbye Faye Pace; sixteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great grandchildren.
