Mary Margie Phillips, 91, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016 in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 1-2 pm at Lakewood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mary was born on January, 24, 1925 and was one of nine children of the late Carl C. Smith and Mary Sanders Smith.
She is preceded in death by husband, Rev. Burnell Phillips, Sr.; son, Burnell Phillips, Jr.; and granddaughter, April Nicole Philley.
She is survived by her daughter, Clara P. Philley (Keith); grandchildren, Keith Philley, II, Kelly Allen (Brad), Katie Philley, Dawn Gurley, Adam Phillips and eight great grandchildren.
