Marilyn Eloise Stevens
March 2, 1931 – June 16, 2018
Marilyn Eloise Stevens left these earthly confines on Saturday, June 16th, 2018 after a lengthy illness. She was born on March 2nd 1931 in Winter Garden, Florida. and throughout her life moved along with her husband and children to West Virginia, Arkansas, Tennessee and Mississippi. A preacher’s daughter and later, a preacher’s wife, she stood strong in her faith in the Lord. Even after the disease robbed her of some memories she never forgot the old spiritual hymns of her childhood. Her beautiful alto voice will always resonate in her children’s ears.
Marilyn wished to share a poem near and dear to her heart which reads:
"Let Me Go"
"When I come to the end of the road And the sun has set for me, I want no lights in a gloomy filled room Why cry for a soul set free!
Miss me a little, but not for long And not with your head bowed low. Remember the love we shared, Miss me but let me go.
For this is a journey we all must take, And each must go alone . It’s all a part of the Master’s plan A step on the road to “Home.”
When you are lonely and sick “at heart” Go to the friend we know. Laugh at all the things we used to do. Miss me But Let Me Go.”
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents William Grady and Vivian Inez Fulmer, older brother Kenneth Owen Fulmer and beloved husband, Edward Marion. She leaves behind her brother William Charles Fulmer (Florida), sister Dorothy Ann Reeves (Florida) her three children, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Marilyn 's visitation, Memorial Service and final interment will be held at Lakewood South Memorial Parks, 430 McCluer Road in Jackson, Ms. 39212. Her visitation will be Tuesday June the 19th at 9:30 a.m. and immediately following will hold her Memorial service.

Regret that I couldn't attend in person. I still have fond memories of time with Marilyn and Marion as I grew up along with the rest of the Stevens family. The love and support provided was priceless in my maturity. I wouldn't be the same person without having experienced that time together.
With love always, Jeff
