She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
Ms. Gray was preceded in death by her parents, Vera Alice Gill Hammack and Robert Clive Hammack, and one sister, Alice L. Koger.
She is survived by two daughters, Selina Carol Russell and Starlet Renee Cook (Sam, Jr.); three grandchildren: Sammie Buford Cook III, Ruby Katherine "Katie" Lywiski (Adam), and Stephen Alexander Ladnier; two great-grandchildren, Makayla Leann and Brennen Jacob Lywiski; four siblings, Opal Lucille Wilson (Buck), William Clive Hammack (Donnie), Robert Andrew Hammock (Patsy), and Mildred Ann Herskind; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
